An incorrect spelling of burhriht ‘borough-right,’ in Domesday (Taunton).

In Domesday there are several instances of st for OE. ht, as in radchenistres for rádcnihtas. Spelman conjectured that it might be = burgh-breche burglary, and the word appears with erroneous explanation in many Law Dicts.
